Callachally is a large, detached house, surrounded by gardens, conveniently situated only 20 minutes from the ferry to Oban, yet is secluded and private. Tracks head off directly from the house into the hills beyond, or down to the shores of the Sound of Mull.
Surrounded by mature trees, a wildflower garden and lawn, it is perfect for families, and children will love the freedom to explore.
The house dates back to the 1600s and in its time has been a drovers’ inn, a sporting lodge and, latterly, a family home.
Mull offers a wealth of attractions, from the glittering white beach at Calgary to the picturesque shops and cafés of Tobermory.
There are regular wildlife cruises and sailings to the Treshnish Isles, and the sacred Isle of Iona is well worth a day's visit.
Callachally is situated on a working farm where several working dogs are kenneled within earshot of the house.
