Looking for a top quality cottage offering seclusion, privacy and panoramic views, combined with comfort, luxury and style? Then Shenval Farmhouse is the one. Perched on an elevated site commanding the most dramatic views across rolling hills, woodland and glens, this stone-built cottage is ideal for those seeking a Highland retreat.
The interior has been beautifully designed, utilising Farrow and Ball colour schemes, high quality fabrics and elegant furnishings, which all combine to create an atmosphere of warmth, comfort and peace. Every detail has received the same loving care in presentation, from John Lewis bedding and individually painted crockery to the Penhaligon's soaps and handwashes left for your use.
The living flame gas fire creates the charm of an open fire without any of the work or mess, and the house is kept warm throughout by total control electric heating.
The main room (over 30 feet long) is divided into a sitting room and a dining room with a formal table for evening dining. The large kitchen also has a breakfast table for six, a super Smeg larder fridge and a double electric oven and hob.
This area of the Highlands is one of very low population, mixed landscape of rolling farmland and high mountains, and a huge amount to do for everyone. There is a golf course just four miles from the house at the bottom of the glen, and those looking to have a varied holiday with some outdoor sports, visits to historic castles and whisky distilleries, fishing or just relaxing at this very special cottage will be delighted with this choice.
Daily help and preparation of dinners is available by arrangement and at extra cost. Advance notice would be required for this.
