It is hard to imagine a more beautiful location than this remote and staggeringly picturesque setting on the north-west coast of Scotland.
Deer roam the land around and otters and seals swim in the water in front of the house. The location is idyllic and the quality of accommodation superb.
This self-catering lodge has been recently refurbished to a high standard and is suitable for holidays throughout the year. It will very comfortably accommodate seven adults; however, as the single room has a pull-out bed, it could accommodate up to eight if there are children in the group.
The kitchen has slate floors and marble worktops and is fully equipped with all facilities. The dining table can seat eight very comfortably.
The jetty close to the house is sometimes used by prawn fishermen to land their catch, and they are willing to sell freshly caught seafood.
This coastline is noted for its magnificent scenery and pristine, sandy beaches backed by what are regarded as some of the most stunning mountains in Scotland. Canoeing is possible in this quiet inlet and boats can be launched from outside the house.
Drumbeg has a hotel with bar open to the public, and there is one of the finest seafood restaurants in Scotland 20 minutes' drive away in Kylesku, from where boat trips leave to see the famous Eas a Chual Aluinn waterfall at the head of Loch Glencoul.
