Manse Cottage is a traditional stone-built cottage in the small rural village of Carnock, just a few miles distant from historic Culross, and only a 40-minute drive from Edinburgh.

The cottage has recently been refurbished in a very comfortable and contemporary style, and is conveniently located for walks, either to the local pub and shop, or along the country tracks and lanes.

Here is a relaxing base from which to explore the Kingdom of Fife with all that this beautiful area has to offer. St Andrews, with its famous golf course and extensive sandy beaches, is only a 1-hour drive away, a journey which takes you through the pretty East Fife fishing villages, which are well worth exploring for their individual character and charm.

Culross is a fascinating village and the closest to a 16th-century atmosphere as can be found. The restored Culross Palace is open to visitors throughout the year.

Fife has many opportunities for golfing, fishing, shopping and eating out, and Manse Cottage is the perfect retreat after the day's activities.

Edinburgh Festival:
Being only a short drive away from Edinburgh, Manse Cottage is ideally located for those who wish to combine their holiday with this exciting annual extravaganza of theatre and performance and the Edinburgh Tattoo.
